Coaching is unlike any other field including counseling / therapy, mentoring, or consulting. Counseling / therapy takes a person back to their past in order to face their trauma or issues, to heal from it, and be able to move forward. Mentoring is investing ones life experiences, knowledge and wisdom into another.
Consulting is usually done in a corporate setting where the consultant is hired to help the business in a particular area of expertise. ​However, coaching is much different than all of these. Coaching is partnering with you by asking questions that helps you unlock for yourself your sticking points and best course of action to move through to your desired goal. Coaching honors you as the client and expert in your own life and believes you are creative, resourceful and capable. Ultimately coaching empowers you to take ownership of your own life and direction.
